For each edition, more than 200 cars representing 50 different car manufacturers and 21 countries, compete. Selected for their historical value and degree of originality, they compete in seven series covering the periods from the 1930s to the 1970s on a majestic scene, the famous circuit that takes place in the streets of the Principality.
In 2022, to celebrate this new edition TAG Heuer presented a new special edition TAG Heuer Monaco Gulf Special Edition in the colors of the oil giant. This tricompax-date chrono features a 39 mm brushed and polished steel case, water-resistant to 100 meters.

For this new edition, the design of the sunray blue dial continues to draw inspiration from the three emblematic colors of Gulf, but this time in a more contemporary combination: dark blue, characteristic of Gulf, turquoise and orange. and it's a first, that this trio of colors is also present within the minute sub-counter at 3 o'clock. The Gulf and TAG Heuer logos appear in white, respectively at 6 o'clock and noon. Finally, note a “60” applied and 3D index present at noon. The whole is protected by a bevelled and domed sapphire crystal.

On the back, this chrono features a unique version of the Heuer Caliber 02 oscillating weight and column wheel with special engraving colored to match Gulf's Pantone orange. This timepiece is worn on a perforated blue calfskin strap with orange Alsavel lining on a folding clasp with two safety push-buttons.
